Yoga classes for patients in isolation – Times of India

New Delhi: Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday said that the Delhi government will provide free customised online yoga classes for Covid patients in home isolation.
Interacting with yoga instructors trained by the Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University on Saturday, Sisodia said that ‘Immunity Booster Yoga’, along with medical treatment will help the patients in home isolation recover faster. The yoga instructors conduct sessions under ‘Dilli Ki Yogshala’ initiative of the Delhi government at 65 places across the city.
Sisodia said that it is seen that the number of Covid patients are rising in Delhi, but they are mostly asymptomatic and are being advised to stay in home isolation. “Thus, along with medical treatment, we will help them boost their immunity through online yoga sessions. Slots for the same will be released soon,” he said.
He said that the government’s vision is to make yoga part of every Delhiite’s daily life and bring it to them in its original form. tnn
